a few questions hey, it sounds like everyone here knows everyone else and have all been close for years. i think i should have joined years ago.
i've been a huge fan of the one CD for years. and that's about all i have. i'm just curious... are there singles out that have different songs on them? sometimes artists do that... release singles to promote a new song, and put b-sides on em. did gregg and the gang do that? seriously, every song on the CD sings to me, and if there are more songs by gregg/NR out there, i'd love to know/have them. i'm sure you've been deluged with similar requests/questions throughout the years, but i really am one of you! i just haven't acted on attempting to find more music til now.

There were two B-sides, one on the "You Get What You Give" single ("To Think I Thought") and one on the "Someday We'll Know" single ("The Decency League"). Plus, a couple of years after the band split, another song by Gregg surfaced on the internet called "A Love Like That". If you have trouble finding any of them, drop me a pm, I'll help you out. 8wink
Oh, and welcome to the board! Good to finally have you here.
ahh, you two are absolutely fabulous. i knew there was a leaked single, but i hadn't been able to find it (i use lime wire)... anyhow, so yeah, i'll see about getting those singles. i guess i'll fill you in as i progress. i've heard about gregg alexander's previous solo albums, but i heard they weren't good... what do you all feel about them? i am itching for more material, and i'd like to know if michigan rain is worth the $70 tag i see it listed at.
i, like everyone else, i'm sure, loved the anti-corporate vibe coming from "you get what you give" and got the cd. i was in ninth grade in high school... i dunno, it's so weird, but that CD somehow became the one thing constant in my life since then. i listen to it all the time, and i've had to buy a few replacement copies because i've worn out two. there's always another angle, another layer that i can relate to as my life grows more and more complicated, and the fact that it is still there and is still relevant means the world to me.
and i'm sure i'm not the only crazy egghead that feels this way, judging by this cultish following i've found here ;-)
the best part about it is that this CD is one of two things that keep me and my siblings bonded. we all feel virtually the same way about this CD. we have each gone through at least two copies of it... so danielle and gregg are probably pretty thankful to us for that ;-) the other thing that keeps us bonded is the movie "detroit rock city." i'll save that for another web forum, promise.
err, i think you know a bit too much about me now. but hey, i feel like i'm at home here.

I personally think they are great. A little darker than Brainwashed, but still very Gregg. 8wink

$70 seems a little much to me. There are currently two copies listed at eBay for around $50, and even that seems quite high to me... I' m sure I didn't pay that much (more around $20) and it wasn't that long ago that I got my copy. Maybe Titan knows what the current going rate for copies at eBay usually is.
If you're unsure about the album you should get Intoxifornication first. It's got 5 songs that also were on Michigan Rain and it's much cheaper.

Welcome home.

Because the singles are now out of print and New Radicals, Gregg, and Geffen no longer get money from their sales, just download those rare B-sides. I'm not promoting pirating their main CD (which you can still buy in stores), but there is no use in just giving your money away for these. Here's a link:

oh MAN, that is news to my ears. that's my favorite song... by far. excellent news! it's definitely being ordered now!

Current eBay prices vary from starting at 1c to anything really, but $70 is a bit steep. I've seen some go for as little as $2. Currently there's a MR LP going for just 2 euros. Intoxifornication a sealed mint copy was going for a buck a couple of days ago. Let me have a quick look through my fave searches and see what's on offer...
Currently there's a MR LP going for just 2 euros. Not anymore, I got that earlier today since the seller is from Germany and thus shipping is only 2,50. 8grin

They're not very good, but if you're a hardcore NR fan like most of us here, you'll probably want to get at least Intoxifornication just to hear how much Gregg has changed as a songwriter since the early '90s.

I did wonder. 8grin

Why are there 5 of the same songs on Intoxifornication? And yeah that's a lot for Michigan Rain, I didn't pay that much for mine and that was only about a year ago.
