Carly Got Screwed!
A COMPLETE travesty! :shock: Sysesha was probably the best last night and Carly was FAR better than Brooke or that goofy looking and acting Jason. This is clearly a popularity contest now! Carly should've finished 3rd or 4th realistically.

My favorite 3 performances this week were Syesha, Carly & David Cook. They did the BEST job and two of them ended up in the bottom 2!!! My heart sank when I saw that. How the F#@k did Brooke and Jason not become the bottom 2??? Here is the order of how I thought the remaining elimations should have gone: Brooke has screwed up and had to restart TWICE now. She should have been gone weeks ago. In fact. I get the feeling that she knows that and she wants to. Jason has talent, but he has limits. You can tell the type of CD he will put out already, and it is not a mass-appeal type CD, but I wouldn't mind having it playing in the background at a dinner party. For me, David Archuletta is getting boring. I like him. I like his singing. But he too is limited. He's like a John Mayer that can sing. Syesha has a great voice and can sing very well and has great range. She just doesn't stand out enough... no uniqueness. Great pipes though. Carly should have come in second. Supreme raw talent. Distinguishable voice. Great range. And I don't just say that out of bias because I am one of the original 378 people who bought her first CD. :wink: David Cook... 5 words: Most talented person on the show. Hands down. But alas, it is a popularity contest, and unfortunately I think the majority of the voters might be 14-15 year old girls. If that's the case, we'll see Jason & David A. in the final, and then, not only will I be done watching for the season, I'll be done watching the show period. That's just me.

I dig guys with dreadlocks, id get em myself if this was the 90's and i didnt have acne :( but yeah he's still in the show cause he's cute..

I was voting for Carly each and every week and I felt so worried for her last week, sensing it would be her swan song since she performed well enough that people assumed she was safe. She was the sole reason I watched this season, and I can't wait for her record. Her version of Here You Come Again is fantastic. I keep playing it in the car.

Carly deserved to stay based on her performance this evening. At this stage - where there are less than 10 people remaining - people decide to vote for people on criteria other than singing ability. They might think they're attractive, or them might sing in a style they like, be from their home town, have dreadlocks, do interesting arrangements, not wear shoes etc. Unfortunately, certain aspects of her personality have been making me like her less each week as the show has gone on. Her "loudness", the fact that she seems very angry and has a point to prove - fair enough given her past. Which goes back to my point above - if I am feeling like this towards her than I imagine a large part of the public are too. This meant, for me, it was obvious Carly would be going this week. I don't think it will be the last we'll see of her, though ;)

Shit, I knew this was going to happen. I'm sure she'll get a record deal of the back of this though.
