craig david?
according to rick nowel's website, 'Nowels/Alexander' wrote three songs for Craig David's album 'The Story Goes'. The songs are Hypnotic, Chillin, and One Last Dance. They sound like Gregg-esque titles I think, but I could be mistaken. Anyway, I haven't seen these songs discussed on here, perhaps I've missed it?

:o That wasn't there the last time I visited that site... Strangely none of the songs appear on any of the codex (at least as far as I remember -- I'll have to check that) and All Music Guide lists only Nowels as a songwriter on them. Guess we'll have to look into this. Great find, Polaroidmigraine!

EMI Music Publishing lists Craig David instead of Gregg as co-songwriter on all three songs. :ninja:

I've listened and listening to Hypnotic and there's a few breaks/phrases that sound like a typical uplifting Gregg/Nowels musical break, but that can just be down to Nowels alone. There's nothing Gregg in there I can make out 100% for sure, but that doesn't mean he didn't have anything to do with it, just that it's not easy to hear. A few Gregg type background vocals and yeahs, a load of baby mentions, but nothing blatant. If anything it reminded me more of Savage Garden and bits of Michael Jackson. Maybe it's just the vocals as Craig has a too distinct sound that it blurs out the usual Gregg sound. The more I listen to it, the music rather than the sung vocals there are bits that would fit straight into a Gregg track, like the backing vocals and phrases. Like I said though it could just be down to Rick alone. Until we get it confirmed in stone in the BMI codex it's too had to call for me. :? One Last Dance can't hear it at all, it's totally Greggless of sound. Just Chillin' haven't heard yet.

Just Chillin' can't see it being Gregg at all, although there are a couple of near Gregg sounding musical breaks (..."Maybe we can fly..."), but even those kind of lose it. It reminds me of an Ali G track slapped over a Justin. Out of the three tracks the only one that comes near is Hypnotic. :?
