Did Gregg suffer from depression?
from listening to him and his lyrics and from hearing about the kind of person he was, it sounds like he may have suffered from depression. does anyone know if that's true? it seems to me like that may have even been the ultimate reason he needed to quit the band. i suffer from depression myself, so i was just wondering

A lot of performers suffer from depression. There is no question that could be a possibility of that in Gregg's case

You know I thought this too. I mean, something definitely was going on in his head when he disbanded. But then I listen to his music. His lyrics might be a little dark at times, but the music is just about the happiest thing I've ever heard. I don't understand how someone so sad could make such incredibly cheerful music.

Maybe he's bi-polar. :?

Maybe he's bi-polar. :? Could be... half his music is about love and half is about love lost!

Well... I don't know about that. The majority of the artists I listen to do the same thing. Love in one song, lost in another. They're usually not singing about themselves either. I think it's just easier that way. Gregg is an extremely confusing person though... Honestly I wish he would just come back to performing so we could determine these things better!
