Favorite Idol performance so far?
So, which of Carly's performances did you guys like best so far?

"Total Eclipse of the Heart" (Although, Simon said it sucked...but I liked what she did with it.) :)

Oh don't be sad please. She's our hero! It was 25 years ago. Janna was precious and I miss her but she's with us all the time. Total Eclipse of the Heart was on the radio all the time on the overhead system in the special care unit in late 1983. It became our singing song to her as the song says, "Turn Around" became a bit of a rally song. The nurses would also sing along. An hour after she passed we went for an aimless drive just to escape ourselves and discuss her arrangements. We wandered into a small town and stumbled on a cemetary that stood on a street called Janna's Lane. If you believe in that sort of thing, I can tell you that I don't think we were there by accident! I could not believe what I was seeing, it was an incredible experience to be led to that spot. Needless to say our little Bright Eyes was home body and soul. Its a little out of the way to go there but I make the journey twice a year and make a day of it.

Not sure which I'd chose, but I really didn't like her choice of Queen number. It really didn't suit her at all and sounded terrible to me and I love Queen. I'd love to hear her sing Jaded by Aerosmith.

I liked her version of "I Drove all night"...it was very sexy :D Pablo

I don't know if it was my favorite, but she was GREAT last night!!!

The person who decided to do that song was gonna have to let it loose because it was the one song everyone waited to hear. She did it justice without a doubt. Brooke probably did herself in huh?

Unfortunately, America is full of MORONS and Carly & Syesha were the bottom 2!!! WHAT??? I thought it should have been Brooke and Jason with Brooke going home. I am done watching that show this season. I now hope that David Cook wins, but he won't. America is stupid. Somebody less talented will win. Carly will hopefully have gathered enough attention to make a second, more successful attempt at a recording career. The girl has PIPES.

AMEN, BROTHER! Even though the outcome for Carly was shitty, I'm glad that at least she got the exposure! She, by no means, deserved to go home tonight. :cry:

I'll tell you this...if Jason winds up winning or one of the last 2 standing, pack the show up and end it. That's how you'll know its all a cheesefest. One of the things I think they fear is that he might win and everyone will now be certain its no longer a talent show. Not that he isn't talented but he's not anywhere near in the league of any of the remaining or Carly for that matter.

I was SURE that this week she would be save, not just because Jason and Brooke fucked up, but because she was really, really good this week... Oh well. Just heard her on Ryan's show though, and she sounded really cheerful and is looking forward to record her album. So I guess it's kinda okay.

Hopefully she will have the same success that Chris Daughtry had when he got voted off at around the same time. Being able to be picked up by a label that really wants her may end up being a blessing for her. Winning could have been a curse.
