maybe you've been brainwashed real lyrics
I come, you're there when I call you. I come, turn me around, baby, inside, yeah. I come pickin' my fight, back just around you, yeah. I come, don't matter why, yeah. You stay around, yeah. You're runnin' outta space. You run, you're down, you thumb it in my face. Your soul is black. Just carry'n it around and I, yeah, ho. I call, it's over the phone, again too soon, choo, choo. I'm you and me, I'm all the answers. I am the bim bum bim. Ooh, you make me wild, yeah. You and me. My only desire is to hide. Keep up, keep up. Ooo, na ooo, na, ooo, no, ooo, na. Ooo, na, ooo, na, ooo, na, ooo, na. Ooo, da, ooo, da hoo, lay, oh. You're set for doin' my new dance, the baboon, the baboon, the baboon, yeah. Heh, heh. Shit on it. Come on, its you. You're ridin' on the floor. It's out back. It's out the door. It's here, it's there, but baby, it's ev'ry where buy I hide. Whatever makes you live, whatever makes you high, whatever makes you smile. You make me feel wild, yeah. You make me feel child, ooh, yeah. You make me feel wi-ild, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa , whoa, ooh. Well, no matter what I will be there for you. In awhile we're gon' try we're gon' try we're gon' try gon' try gon' try ooh ooh do do do do do do do do do

Excellent. :) I'm gradually working through the official lyrics from the song book and track by track adding the actual complete lyrics from the actual CD. That includes the full backing vocals too. I've done three or four of them so far and the differences between the various single edits. I'm halfway through To Think I Tought. Now there's a hard one to decifer, specially all the slurred background vocals. :? Compare the lyrics you find almost anywhere to my version from what is actually on the CD. Note my lyrics are only half complete so far to about halfway down, but you'll see there's a big difference. Common lyrics: 2./13. To Think I Thought Sweet greet drizzle the, oh that's so high Says givin' delirium tremors Takin' off everything, knife of the crowd Says somebody makes him do better Her legs are blailing, She's having babies That does not matter cause there's just one thing to know That said, my baby's on something My baby's on something good My baby's on something So shut up, bitch and give me some of that shit. Hoo-ooh, ooh-hoo I'm drivin' down San Diego, the fat police all stare Ah, the cop car does not matter Hell, modern this summer I just wanna make all your crazed illusions of me be shattered! She's legs are flailing, She gave me rabies That does not matter cause there's just one thing to know That said, my baby's on something My baby's on something good My baby's on something So shut up, bitch and give me some of that shit. Hoo-ooh, ooh-hoo Unh-huh, uhh-huh Yeah yeah, YEAH yeah! Aaow! Her legs are blailing, She's having babies That does not matter cause there's just one thing to know That said, my baby's on something My baby's on something good My baby's on something So shut up, bitch and give me some of that shit. Hoo-ooh, ooh-hoo Hoo-ooh, ooh-hoo Yeah-heah, yeah-heah Aaow! My lyrics (actual): 2./13. To Think I Thought It's sure not gonna (help/hurt?) us. (said) Aow! Hoo, hoo, oooh! Huh! Sweet, greet, just one E, only that's your high. Says givin' delirium tremors. Is takin' off everythin', life of the crowd. Says somebody makes do, better. Her legs are flailing, she's having babies. That does not matter, 'cause there's just one thing to know, That's, that my baby's on something My baby's on something good, yeah. My baby's on something, So shut up, bitch and give me some of that shit. Hoo-ooh, ooh-hoo Best party ever seen, this town, anywhere. (said) And who'd pass this show? (said) I'm drivin' down to see a girl, the fat police all stare. Following cop car does not matter Hell, my she's somethin', my eyes wanna make the crazed illusions of me be shattered! -------------------------------------------------- I got to about here, before stopping. -------------------------------------------------- She's legs are flailing, She gave me rabies That does not matter cause there's just one thing to know That's, that my baby's on something My baby's on something good, yeah yeah. My baby's on something So shut up, bitch and give me some of that shit. Hoo-ooh, ooh-hoo Unh-huh, uhh-huh Yeah yeah, YEAH yeah! Aaow! I'm halfway through To Think I Tought. Now there's a hard one to decifer, specially all the slurred background vocals. :? We already did some of that on the old board, remember? Here's what I found on my hard drive, not sure who did the first part of that, I only did that very last bid by Danielle with Playboy/Penthouse. Anyway maybe it'll help: Shut up slapper Ow, hoo, hoo, hoooo, huh She griefs.... oh that's your high says giving them the real tremors She's taking off everything night .... of the crowd says somebody makes... better Chorus: Her legs are Blailing (?) She's having babies That does not matter 'cause there's just one thing to know that's that My baby's on something, My baby's on something good, My baby's on something, so shut up bitch, and give me some of that shit Hoo, hoo, hoo, hoo Verse 2: I driving down San Diego The fat police all stare Oh, the cop car does not matter hit all m.... wanna make all your grand illusions of me be shattered Chorus: Her legs are flailing She gave me rabies That does not matter 'cause there's just one thing to know that's that My baby's on something, My baby's on something good, yeah yeah My baby's on something, so shut up bitch, and give me some of that shit Hoo hoo hoo hoo oh ho oh ho yeah yeah yeah yeah ooh ow oh Her legs are Blailing (?) She's having babies That does not matter 'cause there's just one thing to know that's that My baby's on something, My baby's on something good yeah yeah My baby's on something, so shut up bitch, and give me some of that shit Hoo hoo hoo hoo oh yeah yeah yeah yeah wow Danielle Brisebois: 'Oh god, The TV's on. Oh no, it's _____ ____ ____ sex. There was a girl from Playboy magazine involved. She was so fine looking. Oh I swear. I swear. Give me the Penthouse now!'

Titan- 10-28-2006

Either I wasn't involved in that or I just plain forgot, strange. :? Actually that'll save a lot of time with the last half. The main reason I stopped half way was, because I played the first half so much I got a huge stress headache trying to pick out the slurred words.

Reading through that there are bits I remember, weird. :?

We already did some of that on the old board, remember? Here's what I found on my hard drive, not sure who did the first part of that, I only did that very last bid by Danielle with Playboy/Penthouse. I did most of the first part but I'm not sure how accurate it is. That song's so hard to understand :ill: . I'm pretty sure Steve did a version as well :?

Xallow- 10-29-2006

I can't understand completely the background lyrics so I'm not sure if this is correct. Danielle: "Oh my god he's chilling me so hard ................ and I think, I think I thought" Danielle: "Oh god the tv is on .......... you wanna have sex with all the girls from the playboy magazine you're watching. You're so bad! ......... is now" Gregg's voice in the end of the song (?): "..... looking I don't know"

Thanks for the lyrics. I was confused, I thought maybe there was a version of Maybe... that I didn't know about. Why are the official lyrics different than the actual ones...is that because we've been brainwashed?

WhatsRealCantDie- 11-04-2007

Actually the song "One Down" by Ben Folds was written because of that reason. But MYBBT was a first song so technically they wouldn't have been able to tell them to write another song. :)

I know this has probably been discussed here before, but I know a lot people believe that the contrasting lyrics were intentional. This is definitely not the case though. Honestly, the entire booklet and published lyrics were full of errors and mistakes, with misplaced lyrics and cut lyrics and just plain out wrong lyrics scattered everywhere. Quite frankly though the easiest explanation for the MYBWT controversy is that the lyrics we see in the booklet belong to another, most likely recorded song from the album that didn't make it and the person responsible for the booklet just screwed up. The song we hear on the album probably wasn't even intended to be titled Maybe You've Brainwashed Too. I think what we have here is another case of A Love Like That, and I wouldn't be surprised if the original showed up mysteriously on the net again. Actually I would be extremely surprised. I would probably die.
