They were plenty capable of great performances. It was those when Gregg was ridiculous drunk (or high) where his live songs suffered. Really? I thought it's one of his authentic styles, like MYBBT

I don't think his authentic style was supposed to be not singing in tune, forgetting lyrics, and having Danielle sing his lyrics because he can't spit them out. If it is then I don't understand why it doesn't show up on TFI or Much Music or Leno, but (yes) very much on House of Blues and this All That performance. Not all of the songs are on House of Blues that noticeable, but moments like on Someday We'll Know when hes stumbling through whole song makes it more hilarious than it does anything else... and that's not really a funny song.

i really hope he was sober on the kids show However, I have a question: Did Gregg ever perform sober? The TFI performance is seriously the only one where Gregg doesn't sound like he was on something. Not often! He was clearly on something during his performance in concert that I caught in April 1999. He even went on to say during the performance that some of the local students from the University hooked him up with some "good shit."

i think this has made his music suffer from a live perspective They were plenty capable of great performances. It was those when Gregg was ridiculous drunk (or high) where his live songs suffered.

Awww coolies we got some video footage. Well I thougth that some artists did get high plus he said in the press releases that he did drugs...so it doesn't surprise me ;).

The whole album is filled with lots of drug references. And yeah, lots of artists get high, it's kind of a common theme with the image being a rocker. :)
