Portable Life Poll
How many of our members actually have an authentic copy of Portable Life?

Marisa- 10-14-2006

meh, I'd buy it if I had the money, Ross and Marco sent me some songs, so Ihave "I've had it", "If I died tonight you'd have to think of me" and "Everything my Heart Desires"

Titan- 10-15-2006

I used to have almost all of it, but lost it twice with two dead drives and never quite got back round to getting it again that way. Love to own a mint copy, but too many other things get in the way of forking out so much for just one item, when I can buy a dozen signed items instead. :?

DaniBriseFAN- 10-15-2006

I owned a used copy. Got it for about 50 bucks on ebay. Then a sealed copy came up on ebay and I got it for about the same, and sold my used copy Buy It Now for 50 bucks, so somebody could get it for a semi-reasonable price.

CrypticMouse- 10-16-2006

I don't have it yet because I simply can't afford it but I got MP3's of all the songs from someone on here.

newradmad- 10-17-2006

:o Randy is this like...SWEARING for you? I guess that's like swearing for me when I'm in mixed company.

I voted for the third option. Someone just sent me a copy of it today (in a lossless format, even!) and I'm really enjoying it. It's beyond me as to why RCA decided to shelve it, because it seems to me that it could have been a great success for her in the wake of New Radicals.

I guess I fall in the other category--those who want to HEAR the Portable Life album and would definitely buy it if given the opportunity (that didn't involve spending megabucks). Is there anyway to get/hear mp3s of this elusive album???

Fritz- 11-28-2006

An mp3 of the album's single "I've Had It" can be downloaded from Danielle's MySpace profile, along with the previously unreleased "Rip In Heaven"...

Thanks...I didn't mention that those are the only 2 I've heard--and the Just Missed the Train, of course. There's the rest of the album I'm curious about as I just caught up and discovered the New Radicals a few months ago. Better late than never. Disappointing that they didn't move on, but perhaps better so that Danielle can let her own light shine.
