Sophie's new website update & new single Will be launching in two days from now.

Meanwhile I've heard her new single "Catch You", it was performed live at the New Year celebrations. Technical issues screwed up the performance, her mike didn't cut in until she was already well into the song and I guess monitor problems or nerves due to the problems made her sound slightly off tune. Here it's on You Tube, but I personally saw this live on TV. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYV_06n3oLo
There are versions of this same video where someone has dubbed on the missing words with a clip from the studio version and another where it's completely dubbed. When I watched it live you could faintly hear the crowd shouting "Can't hear you!" Shame really, she deserved better. :(
The single is due for release in Feb 2007, worth watching for potential Gregg B-sides.

Looks like they forgot.

Ah, they updated it now (I'm still wondering why they put up a countdown with exact hours/minutes before if they didn't launch it then)...
Nothing really interesting there, either. Well, actually, not that much there at all. There's a news section and a short clip from the single. That's it.

Yeah, just been over there myself and got Sophie's take on that live event:
happy new year everyone!
it's going to be a good one.
i have to share with you the fact that on bbc tv for my new year's eve broadcast i was given the wrong microphone and couldn't hear myself for the entire song. i had no vocals on stage or for the crowd throughout. with that baptism of fire back to the pop world, the only way is up for 2007!
here's to it, folks...

I was hoping for more info on the new album and single, mainly a confirmation of the track list. Guess we'll have to wait like everyone else.

I adore Sophie. I met her back in 2002 and she was lovely. My favourite songs of hers are, of course, the ones Gregg had a hand in, but it doesn't look like he's done any songs for her on the new album. A few new cuts have leaked and none were written by Gregg as far as I know. 'Catch You' is a brilliant single though, definitely worthy of a big comeback for Soph. The video clip hit the net today and it's a very cool and loosely choreographed effort filmed in Venice!

Sophie appeared on the Al Murray Show just the other night and played her new single Catch You, which she followed straight after with Murder. Nice to see Gregg's hit still getting some live airplay. 8)
