Six?! As in, the total number of grandchildren you will have? OR sextuplets???

DaniBriseFAN- 07-01-2008

SIX??? What are you... like a year or two older than me??? I am about to have my first and I feel like I am WAY too young for that. I can't imagine SIX!!!

what? how old are you again? did you have kids really young? I'm a very juvenile 45! I had kids before I was out of my teens and now all 4 will have a child. My older grandkids are 7 and almost 4 and they have never known me not running jumping, climbing monkey bars & playscapes, play fighting with them and doing all the things a regular dad would do except I'm their dad and mom's dad. When we go to the park, when the grandparents with their kids find out I'm their grandfather and flipping over things, letting the kids chase me and climbing on the top of things and jumping off, they get kind of mad. One old guy said to me, "You're making all us other grandparents look bad" while they're there reading the paper and sipping coffee Old age is no longer required and I'm really looking forward to #6...bring him/her on I say! We recently had a rarity with all 5 grandkids in the same room and my wife and I took a picture. I'll have her give me one to post here.

Can't wait to see! 8)

CousinDave- 08-03-2008

Here we go! In front L-R...Christian (3), Aykan (1) and Bria-Lynn (1) (Aykan and Bria are born 8 hrs apart by different parents.) In back Michael (7), Me (of course) holding Dannyelle (9 months) and Doodle Everyone was distracted in a different direction but it was the best of the 3 taken. Michael was in a foul mood.

cute!

Elizabeth- 08-04-2008

Dave and Doodle and the fabulous five! I LOVE it! I bet they're fun (at times) and keep you young!

Dave and Doodle and the fabulous five! I LOVE it! I bet they're fun (at times) and keep you young! I see Christian and D-Yeller the most. Christian and I are very close and do lots of stuff together. We see them usually at least 3 days a week. Doodle loves Bria-Lynn and she's lots of fun, but she has another grandmother she lives closer to. We either see Bria a lot or not at all it seems. Feast or famine! Michael and I were very close at one time but he lives with his dad about an hour and a half away. Aykan the gentle giant, he's such a sweet boy. Emmy brings him and Mike over about once a month or so. They all have their cute and not so cute periods!

On Grandparents Day, of all days, I became a grandpa at 10:50AM! Jacob William came into the world today at 7lbs. 1oz. and 21" long. Mom (my daughter) and baby Jake are doing great!!!
