I grew up with a musician dad who owns over 1500 pieces of vinyl comprising everything from Beethoven to Hank Williams Sr. to Judas Priest; so I've grown to appreciate pretty much everything.

Smashing Pumpkins, Goo Goo Dolls, Madonna, Tupac...a plethera of different artists and groups...but it always comes back to the New Radicals being #1 in my book. 8)
What about you guys? :?:

Actually I've always been a big fan of Hall and Oates which is how I got interested in NR. I have favorites in virtually every genre except country which sucks IMHO.

Ditto on the country! Country music gives me HIVES! :ill:
Damn inbred rednecks! LOL

I like Elvis Presley, pre-nutty Michael Jackson, and the Scissor Sisters. But none of those interest me anywhere near as much as NR.

Tons. I listen mostly to rock, punk, ska and hip hop, but I've also been known to also get into reggae, R&B, folk, funk and electronic/dance music.
As far as artists go my favorites are....
Chumbawamba
Public Enemy
The Roots
Fishbone
Dance Hall Crashers
Warren Zevon (my hero!)
David Bowie
Reel Big Fish
The Beatles
Soul Asylum
and many, many more that I can't think of right now.
Edit: The Cardigans! I can't believe I forgot them!! Probably the best pop band of all time and they fell out of my mind even while I was listening to them

I like the Fray lately. There's something Gregg-ish about them. BTW, they'll be playing at SummerFest 2007 in Milwaukee this year...along with BonJovi! Yumm! Might have to check that out!

I think the latest wave of Alt/pop music performers should get up everyday and tip their bucket hat toward Grosse Point IMO. They're all NR evolutions.
BonJovi? I didn't know you were into old Italian guys Elizabeth! LOL
J/K of course!

You have to give Bon Jovi props...they USED to be very good! LOL  If I remember correctly, Bon Jovi was one of my top favorite bands as a little kid (Michael Jackson as a close second -- but that was when he was BLACK and a MALE.)

Hysterical!
Honestly the one thing you gotta admire about Bon Jovi, is that they have survived a long time. For a lot of kids your age (and you are a kid) they were the first rock band that you listened to and they are still here to see your kids born! My kids LOVED Bon Jovi when they were 3 or 4, they saw them on MTV every night when it used to be a music channel.
